The Philly’s Games are now going to the Quarter Finals after the last 16 knock out round held at Esangweni and Phomolong.
Unfortunately, our local team from Ebony Park, Boko Haram FC, lost to the defending champions Amandla. The team was coached by Gabriel ‘Ninja’ Mofokeng. Our boys played well but were unfortunate to lose the game on penalties.
One of the interesting games of the Last 16 was between Ama Bee and Ambassadors and they was no shortage of skills with ‘Blackberry ‘ on the field.
The teams faced each other for 2 legs. The embarrassing game of the tournaments so far was Wamtsiba Motho trashing Mafikizolo 10 -0. Mafikizolo has been suspended from participating in Phillys Game for a year.
