Big up to Rabie Ridge SAPS Investigating Officer , Detective Sergeant Thulani Amose Ndlovu!
On Wednesday, 04 September 2024, Palm Ridge High Court, found guilty a 38-year-old black male Sigqibo Mbungu and sentenced him for a murder case that he committed in 2018, where he killed one black male by chopping his head using a spade craft and garden fork.
In 2021 he raped a female, burned her private parts using a two-plate stove and stabbed her to death. All the cases were committed in Phomolong in the Rabie Ridge area.
With the leading investigations of Detective Sergeant Thulani Amose Ndlovu, the accused Sigqibo Mbungu was found guilty and convicted as follows:
- Count one of murder – 15 years imprisonment
- Count two of murder – Life imprisonment.
- Count three of Rape -15 years imprisonment.
Ekurhuleni District Commissioner Major General Anna Sithole expressed pride to the Detectives members and thanked Detective Sergeant Amose Ndlovu (pictured) in his meticulous investigations and efforts shown on both cases in order to restore community trust and squeezing the space of criminals in the District.
