If it’s not electricity it’s water.
Johannesburg Water has on Friday announced that it will have planned water interruptions across the City of Johannesburg.
The areas of Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park, President Park, Glen Austin and Austin View will be affected by the water outage from Tuesday, 23 November 2021 at 22:00 until the following day on Wednesday, 24 November at 21:00.
The reason for the water interruption is to ‘repair a 1200mm burst pipe’. Johannesburg Water has assured residents that they will be a total of fourteen (14) roaming water tankers in the affected areas.
Meanwhile, large parts of KAE and surrounding areas did not have water at the time of publishing. Restoration time unknown.
“We appeal to all to use water sparingly and to remind them that level one water restrictions are still in place. Watering of gardens is not allowed between 6 am and 6 pm in summer months (1 Sept to 31 March) and furthermore, it is not allowed to wash paved areas and driveway using hosepipes.” said Johannesburg Water in a statement.
KAE News will continue providing updates as and when they become available to us.
