PONELOPELE ORACLE SCHOOL ISSUES WARNING ABOUT SCAMMER

KAE News has received alarming news from the Principal of Ponelopele Oracle Secondary School, Mr Edward “Nesh” Netshianzwane.

This is regarding a scammer who has been soliciting money from job seekers in exchange for securing them teaching jobs at the school.

According to Mr Nesh, ten (10) job seekers have already fallen victim to this scam and came to the school on Monday morning for non-existent job interviews. Three (3) individuals lost a staggering R10,000 each with one job seeker coming with cash at the school.

The school, which had two vacancies for teachers, had closed its application process on Thursday, 13 April 2023.

The interviews for the positions have not yet been scheduled. It appears that the scammer had somehow managed to have the school’s name on the number on Tru Caller and was using it to lure unsuspecting job seekers.

This incident serves as a reminder to all job seekers that paying money to secure a job is a red flag and is likely a scam. Residents are urged to exercise caution when responding to job advertisements and to be wary of any requests for money in exchange for employment opportunities.

KAE News is calling on our readers to be more vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities. We are also pleased to announce that we will be posting vacancies from the school to help ensure that legitimate employment opportunities are made available to members of the community.

The Ponelopele Oracle Secondary School number is 011 261 1260.

If you have any information regarding this scam or have been a victim yourself, please contact the Ivory Park Police Station as soon as possible. A case of fraud has been opened.
