R5.5 MILLION IN GROCERIES RECOVERED IN KAALFONTEIN

In a coordinated law enforcement operation, Gauteng Traffic Police, along with the SAPS Flying Squad, Highway Patrol, Wardens Saturation (STT EC), and EMPD STT, responded to a business robbery in Germiston on Wednesday.

Suspects made off with 30 pallets of groceries valued at R5.5 million, using a K2500 truck and a Toyota Hilux to transport the stolen goods.

Thanks to quick investigative work, officers were led to Kaalfontein, where they successfully recovered the stolen stock, as well as a VW Polo taken during the robbery and the Toyota Hilux involved in the crime.

Three suspects were arrested on the scene and will soon appear in the Tembisa Magistrates Court to face charges related to the robbery.

The investigation continues as authorities aim to ensure all those involved in the heist are brought to justice.
