RE-OPENING OF JOHANNESBURG LIBRARIES FOR STUDY PURPOSES
As from Monday, 09 November 2020, the City of Johannesburg libraries opened doors to the public after closing down due to COVID-19 in line with health and safety protocols.
In Region A, the Ivory Park and Halfway House libraries opened doors to the public. Members of the public may now return books to the libraries between 09:00 to 16:00 from Monday to Friday. No books may be borrowed from the libraries.
The Ivory Park Library will be opened for study purposes Mondays to Fridays from 09:00 to 12:00 and 13:00 to 16:00. The period from 12:00 to 13:00 will be used to facilitate cleaning and sanitizing of spaces.
Use of library books and library computers is still not permitted.
