The Ward Councillor of Ward 133, Cllr Teboho Marumo has provided an update to the community on the current water crisis.
The excavator has been recovered, and further excavations are underway to create safe working space for the welders.
After excavation, welding and repairing of the burst pipeline 900mm diameter steel pipe located at Republic Road will start.
Cllr Marumo estimated that water will return to the taps after 2 hours time as at 18:40.
