REST IN PEACE BARUKA

On Sunday the 5th of January 2020 at about 14:00 well known taxi owner Enos Petrus Cossa aka Baruka Khoza was gunned down at Ivory Park Extension 2 between Ivory Park Taxi Rank and Eqinisweni Secondary School.

Baruka was a well known taxi owner at Kopanong Shopping Centre (Score 3) and had a fleet of Katjibanes (local light vehicle taxis) and Avanzas. He frequently drove an Audi A4 with the personalised plates ‘Baruka GP’

He was shot multiple times including in the head and declared dead on the scene by paramedics. The deceased’s lifeless body was found lying on the ground facing down with multiple head bullet wounds. It is alleged that he was parking his white Toyota Hilux when a white Nissan Juke parked adjacent to his vehicle.

Apparently, the Juke had four occupants. Two male occupants jumped out of the car and shot at Baruka multiple times. One live round was found at the scene.

The motive of the murder is unknown at this stage but the Ivory Park Police Department have ruled out a robbery/hijack. The Provincial Taxi Unit has been informed.

No suspect have been arrested in connection with the murder and the police are investigating.

The funeral service of Baruka Khoza will take place at his home 12350 Twala Street, Ivory Park on Sunday the 12th of January 2020. Service from 07:00 to 09:00.
