Ofentse Blessing Matabane from Ponelopele Oracle Secondary School emerges as a star. Scoring an impressive 92% average in the 2023 matric exams, Ofentse has not only excelled but has set a stellar example for scholars in Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, and Rabie Ridge (KAE).
Hailing from Ebony Park Ext 5, Ofentse’s educational journey began at Ebony Park Primary School, laying the foundation for his exceptional achievements.
In the matric year of 2023, he navigated the challenges of loadshedding, demonstrating resilience by staying behind at school and using candlelight at home to continue his studies.
He was recognized as one of the Top Township Learners in the 2023 National Senior Certificate Exams.
Ofentse secured distinctions in core subjects, including Mathematics, Physical Science, and Life Sciences.
Looking ahead, Ofentse is set to embark on a journey toward his dreams. He aspires to become a cardiologist, a doctor specializing in matters of the heart. His destination is University of Cape Town, where he will pursue a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), marking the beginning of his promising medical career.
