SANCA: KE MOJA, IM FINE WITHOUT DRUGS

The South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA) is a non-governmental organisation whose major objectives are the prevention and treatment of alcohol and other drug dependence.

SANCA strives to address substance abuse and various addictions through the provision of specialised education, prevention, treatment and aftercare services to all people, thereby enhancing the quality of life and helping to restore their self-respect and dignity.

SANCA has assisted numerous youth in KAE and surrounding areas to beat drug addiction. The SANCA Midrand offices are situated in Ebony Park, Acasia Street at Pay Point 3 opposite SBS Lifestyle Car Wash.

Some of the services and programmes offered include Drug Testing, Family Therapy, Treatment, Early Intervention and Aftercare programmes to ensure the patients never go back to drugs. Most of the services offered are free.

Hundreds of youth are addicted to drugs in our community. If you or a loved one are addicted to drugs, please contact the SANCA Midrand Office on 010 140 4387.

Some common drugs in Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge are Nyaope, Meth and Rock.

SANCA’s mission is to be the leading and most effective Non-Profit Organisation in the field of prevention, treatment and aftercare of substance abuse and addictions.

They are also organising a Talent Show on the 27th of November at Lord Khanyile Hall in Midrand. Individuals and groups across the community are invited to showcase their talents.

The purpose of the event is for youth to nurture their talents instead of being bored and turning to substance abuse.

For registration please visit the SANCA Midrand Offices at Pay Point 3 or alternatively contact 072 971 6056.
