SCHOOL ADMISSIONS OPEN

After some technical difficulties yesterday, 10 August 2021, the Gauteng Department of Education online portal for school admissions is now open.

Phase 1 of the 2022 Admissions Online Application Period is open from 10 August 2021 to 03 September 2021. Phase 1 is for Grade 7 learners currently in the public schooling system in Gauteng to apply to Grade 8.

Parents may apply to a maximum of 5 schools. Parents are reminded to use the Home option at least once to apply to schools with Feeder Zones that cover their home address.

Submit documents to all the schools that you applied to within 7 days after applying. Documents can also be uploaded on the System to ONE school for the other schools to view.

Schools will verify all documents submitted for authenticity. Parents who uploaded documents that could not be verified may be requested to submit hard copy documents to the school.

From the 11th of October 2021 until 30 November 2021, parents will receive offers of placement via SMS. Where spaces are available, parents may receive offers to all schools applied to. Parents are advised to accept offers within 7 days or they will forfeit offer.

Phase 2 of the Admissions Period will be open from 13 September 2021 until 8 October 2021. Phase 2 will cater for Grade 1 Applications.
