SOCCER STAR ALLEGEDLY FLEES FATAL CRASH IN TEMBISA
In a tragic incident on Andrew Mapheto Road in Tembisa, a 9-year-old girl lost her life in a crash involving a car registered to South African soccer star Shaune Mogaila of Sekhukhune United.
According to reports, the child’s mother and a 13-year-old, who were in another vehicle, were trapped but were later rescued and transported to local hospitals with injuries. The accident reportedly took place on Wednesday morning around 7:00 a.m.
Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department spokesperson Thabiso Makgato stated that upon arrival, police found alcohol bottles and suspected narcotics inside Mogaila’s car.
Mogaila, 29, allegedly fled the scene, leaving the victims behind. A case of culpable homicide, reckless driving, and fleeing the accident scene has been opened at Tembisa South Police Station.
This shocking incident has sparked public outrage, with calls for accountability and justice for the young girl’s untimely death. Investigations are ongoing.
