STAGE 2 LOADSHEDDING TO CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND

Eskom said on Wednesday that there’s a high probability that loadshedding may continue to be implemented throughout the weekend.

This has moved from a probability to a certainty. Eskom has announced that Stage 2 load shedding will be implemented throughout the weekend until 23:00 on Sunday.  According to the power utility – “this is a result of loss of further generation capacity and to replenish emergency generation reserves.”

“Over the past 24 hours further breakdowns occurred at three power stations, putting further strain on the generation capacity. Eskom will continue working hard to return the units back to service” added Eskom

The power utility has also cautioned that there is a high probability that load shedding may continue into the coming week.
