We reported last week of Taxi Violence happening in Olivenhoutbosch close to Midrand. The taxi violence is between two rival groups.
Today the 28th of November 2019, another person has been shot dead in the ensuing violence. Bringing the number of fatalities to two.
Several people including a child have also been caught in the cross fire and their injuries range from serious to critical.
The violence comes after the MEC for Public Transport Jacob Mamabolo addressed community leaders and taxi operators last week Friday.
The South African Police Service Taxi Task Team is on the scene.
