TIP OFF LEADS POLİCE TO TWO STOLEN BIKES
Officers from the Ivory Park SAPS Crime Prevention Unit have yesterday, 25 July 2022, arrested a 33-year old Mozambican man for possession of two (2) stolen motorbikes.
“At the time of the recovery yesterday the motor bikes, which have been reported stolen as per Ivory Park SAPS cases, had been dimantled, wrapped in plastics and ready to be shipped to Mozambique, the suspect’s country of origin.” said Captain Ben Matimulane, the spokesperson of Ivory Park SAPS.
“The importance of tıp offs such as this one cannot be overemphisised, as it is an effective way of keeping crime and criminals in check,” said Ivory Park SAPS station commander Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo.
He said that had it not been for this anonymous informant these motorbikes, most of which are a means of business, will have crossed our border for good, thus leaving owners without a source of earning a living.
The suspect will appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court tomorrow to answer to crime accusation against him. He has been charged with possession of stolen property.
