TWO ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF FIREARM AND AMMO

THE Station Commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, is elated by the recovery of a firearm and arrest of two suspects on Friday afternoon, 21 April 2023.

“The two men, aged 30 and 34, attracted the EMPD’s attention when one of the occupants they were in the car with, abruptly got off the car and fled. The EMPD officers turned their attention to the driver and his passenger, searched them and found a firearm with four round of live ammunition. The two were arrested and brought to the Ivory Park SAPS, where they will be held pending their appearance in court on Monday.” said Captain Ben Matimulane, the spokesperson of Ivory Park SAPS.

“We want to acknowledge and salute our EMPD colleagues for the excellent work they did in our area. After all both they and us are in this together- crime and criminality are our common enemies,” said Brigadier Ngcobo.
