UBER DRIVER ROBBED AND HIJACKED

It is alleged by the complainant that on Thursday, 23 June 2022, at about 20:20 he was requested as an Uber driver to collect a client at Endayeni Section,Tembisa to Rabie Ridge.

Upon arrival at Tembisa he found three (3) unknown black males. Two entered at the back seat while one sat on the passenger seat.

He drove until they reached their destination at Corner Spreeu and Freedom Street, the suspects at the back pointed him with a firearm and ordered him to go to the backseat while the suspect who was at the passenger seat drove the motor vehicle until Themba Khoza squatter camp.

This is where the victim managed to run away from the suspects.

“Complainant went to nearby houses and seek for help. The suspects managed to drive away with the motor vehicle which is a Toyota Corrola Registration No HR 64 XZ GP valued at R280000, and black Samsung cellphone valued at R1000,00” said Sergeant Dipolelo Moremi of the Rabie Ridge SAPS.

No short were fired and no person was injured.
