VOTE FOR KAE SONG OF THE YEAR!
December is a festive time. It is a time for family, friends, food, drinks and most importantly MUSIC!
It’s for this time that South African HITS are made. A South African Song of the Year is a jam that plays in the whole of KAE and South Africa when the clock reaches 00:00 on New Years Eve Day. It is a song that plays loud in taxis and Katjibanes. A song of the year is a song that even 2 year olds and gogos recognize and dance to.
From Arthur’s Mnike in 1995 to Nkalakatha in the year 2005. And more recently Song of the Year In 2018 was Prince Kaybee’s banger Banomoya.
Without a doubt 2019 was a year of AmaPiano. More specifically Dj Maphorisa and his sidekick Kabza Da Small.
We decided to let the masses vote for ingoma ezo hlukanisa unyaka?
The competition is tough this year so we made a list of 10 songs that have the potential to be Song of the Year? Since we are spoilt for choice you can vote more than once.
Also feel free to add a Song we have not listed.
