WATER SHEDDING IN KAE AND SURROUNDING AREAS
Water restrictions have been implemented by Johannesburg Water. This is due to a lack of sufficient rain and water usage increasing at an alarming rate in the recent heat wave.
City of Johannesburg customers are urged to use water sparringly this time. Johannesburg Water has begun throttling Water between 20% to 40% in line with restrictions imposed by Rand Water. A heat wave is predicted this weekend and we need to ensure that we reduce consumption to protect infrastructure.
The President Park and Rabie Ridge reservoirs have been closed to build capacity. Level 1 water restrictions are in place. Places in Ivory Park, President Park, Rabie Ridge, Glen Austin, Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, Allandale and others will have low water pressure and no water in this time.
