WATER UPDATE: MIDRAND AREAS RECOVERING, TEMBISA PLANNED WATER OUTAGE
Where are you? Do you have water yet?
Johannesburg Water has been working tirelessly to restore the water supply in affected areas. KAE News is pleased to report that water has been restored in parts of Ebony Park and Ivory Park, and it is gradually being restored in other areas.
However, residents are advised to keep a bucket of water as the water supply remains unreliable lately. Johannesburg Water is closely monitoring the situation and providing updates as the situation develops.
Residents in high lying areas like Allandale and Klipfontein are advised that water should be fully restored by the end of the day. Johannesburg Water appreciates the patience and understanding of residents during this challenging time.
In the meantime, residents are reminded to continue using water wisely and to conserve as much water as possible. With the water supply still being restored, every drop counts. It is important to use water only when necessary and to avoid any wastage.
However, there is some bad news for residents of Tembisa. The City of Ekurhuleni has announced a planned water interruption that will affect parts of Tembisa. The interruption is due to planned maintenance and is expected to last from Thursday, March 9th, at 5 pm until Friday, March 10th, at 5 am.
Areas that will be affected include parts of Winnie Mandela, and parts of Clayville. The City of Ekurhuleni has assured residents that they will provide roving trucks in the affected areas.
KAE News will continue to keep the community updated on any further developments regarding the water situation in Johannesburg. We urge residents to remain patient and to conserve water usage during this recovery period.
