Eskom has announced that “Due to lower than anticipated demand, Stage 4 loadshedding will continue to be implemented until 22:00. Loadshedding will then be reduced to Stage 2 at 22:00 until 07:00 for both Saturday and Sunday.”
Our areas of Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE), Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, President Park, Glen Austin, Mayibuye, Klipfontein and Tswelopele will be affected by the Loadshedding as follows:
Friday, 01 July 20:00 until 22:00
Saturday, 02 July 04:00 until 06:30
Saturday, 02 July 12:00 until 14:30
Saturday, 02 July 20:00 until 22:00
Sunday, 03 July 12:00 until 14:30
Sunday, 03 July 20:00 until 22:00
Electricity has been restored in Ebony Park. The reason for the power outage that lasted more than 24 hours remains unknown. Requests for comment and explanation from the power utility have fallen on deaf ears.
We suspect that Eskom has a secret loadshedding schedule that affects townships.
There’s a high likelihood that loadshedding will be implemented for the whole month of July.
KAE News will continue updating you and providing information regarding the electricity crisis the country is facing.
