RISK OF LOADSHEDDING TODAY
Today the 6th of November 2019 Eskom advises that loadshedding might be possible. The power system remains constrained with unplanned breakdowns above 12 000MW.
The current generation units are unlikely to be sufficient to meet current demand. Eskom’s Emergency Response Command Centre continues to monitor the system and has implemented contingencies to supplement emergency reserves in order to avoid or if unavoidable minimize loadshedding.
The probability of loadshedding remains and any shift on the system could result in loadshedding at short notice.
Eskom will provide an update later today. Customers are once again requested to continue using electricity sparingly.
KAE News will give load shedding schedule, if any.
