ALLEGED FEMALE DRUG DEALER ARRESTED IN KAALFONTEIN

The excellent relationship between Ivory Park SAPS, the Community in blue and the YouthCrime Prevention Desk was put to good use when an alleged drug dealer was arrested on Thursday morning.

“The alleged dealer received the surprise of her life when the officers and members in question descended on the street she plied her trade in Kaalfontein and arrested her, and an array of drugs and money believed to have been derived from her trade confiscated. Crystal Meth, Mandrax and cocaine were recovered from the woman” said Captain Ben Matimulane the spokesperson of the Ivory Park SAPS.

“This resounding success was made possible by a tip off by a member of the public who, despite their anonymity, correctly tipped the police officers about this woman’s illicit, and troublesome, business.” Matimulane said.

The Station commander of the Ivory Park SAPS, Brigadier David Mbongeni Ngcobo, has welcomed today’s arrest. ” Substance abuse is at the heart of many problems experienced by our community. By letting us know, and the subsequent follow up by our officers and other stakeholders, a clear message has been sent to the criminal elements that we are coming after them,” said Brigadier Ngcobo.

The 38-year-old is expected to appear in the Tembisa Magistrate court soon to face a charge of dealing in drugs.
