R5000 BAIL FOR LEBO MONENE’S ALLEGED KILLER

Paralysed and suspended Police Constable, Lucky Mudau, was granted bail of R5,000.00 by the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 20 July 2022.

Mudau is accused of shooting and killing his ex lover, Lebo Monene, who was a nurse at the parking lot of Tembisa Hospital on the 9th of February 2022 before turning the gun on himself.

He has been hospitalised for months and made his second appearance in court accompanied by police in a wheelchair.

The defence was granted bail after telling the court that Mudau is a ‘vegetable’ and can’t do anything for himself. He apparently can’t be taken care of in a any hospital or prison.

The state didn’t oppose the bail application.
