7 SUSPECTS NAILED FOR ATTEMPTED ROBBERY OF MOTOR CYCLE

On Friday, 13 May 2022, the Office of Ekurhuleni District Crime Intelligence Trio Task Team received information about the suspects planning to Hijack motorbikes at Garsfontein.

Members followed the two suspects vehicles, a Silver bakkie and white Toyota with Mozambican Registration number from Ivory Park to Garsfontein.

“The information was liased with Garsfontein SAPS members. At corner Solomon Mahlangu and Disselbon Ave the suspects attempted to hijack a motorcycle then the operational team managed to stop the vehicles of the suspects and suspects were arrested for Attempted Robbery and case was opened by the victim at Garsfontein Saps” said Captain Ben Matimulane, the spokesperson of the Ivory Park SAPS.

All suspects aged between 20 and 38 are foreign Nationals residing at Tembisa, Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge.

Preliminary investigation revealed that they are linked to cases committed in Edenvale and Boksburg North, in Ekurhuleni.
