BODY OF NEW BORN BABY FOUND IN THE BUSH

An eyewitness reported a body of a new born baby found in a bush on Tuesday, 21 June 2022 at around 07:30 in the morning.

The woman told the police that she was walking in an open veld (after Rabie Ridge traffic lights en-route to Glen Austin) when she saw a black 10 litre bucket dumped on the side of the road.

“She went next to the bucket as she liked the bucket when she saw a small baby sleeping facing down. She noticed that the child was not moving and immediately contacted the Rabie Ridge Police” said Sergeant Dipolelo Moremi.

A patrol vehicle was sent to the scene. The police found the the newborn baby in the bucket and summoned paramedics who declared the baby dead. The child was taken to the Government Mortuary.
