CITY LAUNCHES A RE SEBETSENG

The City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality launched the ‘A Re Sebetseng’ blitz on Monday, 30 May 2022, at the Midrand Fire Station.

In attendance was the MMC for Transport, Funzi Ngobeni, Regional Director, Abigail Ndlovu and officials from the Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA).

‘A Re Sebetseng’ is an initiative by the the Johannesburg Roads Agency in collaboration with Johannesburg Water, Johannesburg City Parks, Johannesburg Zoo and Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport to address historical backlogs in service delivery

JRA Employees tackled service delivery issues in COJ Region A which comprises of Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park (KAE), Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, Midrand amongst other areas.

On Day 1 of A Re Sebetseng some of the work done yesterday included:
* Road construction (layer works) in progress on Parrat Fish Street in Kaalfontein.
* Patch work on Motsamai Mabula and Malahleng Crescent in Ivory Park.
*Road markings done on Dale Road in Ward 92
*Patching underway at the intersection on Bob Marley Street and Hochi Mini, Ivory Park Ext 8.
*Replacement of damaged concrete bollards on 29th September Drive in Ivory Park
*Road markings done on Freedom Drive and Dlamini Drive in Ivory Park
*Cleaning and unblocking of stormwater inlets underway on Malahleng Crescent in Ivory Park

The A Re Sebetseng JRA Blitz will be ongoing until 10 June. Expect to see more JRA employees in orange overalls in your neighbourhood.
