COP ACCUSED OF KILLING LEBO MONENE PARALYSED

Lucky Mudau, is the the police officer who is accused of killing his 30-year old ex girlfriend, Lebo Monene, at the Tembisa Hospital parking lot, before turning the gun on himself.

He made a brief first court appearance at the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court in Rabasotho on Monday, 11 July 2022.

Mudau had been in a critical condition in hospital for months, but was escorted by police officers in a wheelchair into the court. At the time of the incident, Mudau worked at Norkem Park police station.

Mudau is said to be paralysed from the neck down and had been in hospital under police guard.

The matter has been postponed to Wednesday, 20 July 2022, because the accused did not have a lawyer as yet.
