FIBRE BEING INSTALLED IN KAE

Exciting news, Vuma Reach has started installing a high speed, world-class fibre optic network in KAE (Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park).

Some streets are live already while digging is underway in others. The network will deliver uncapped internet speeds from 20MB/s to your home.

The open access network means that those residents who decide to take up a service, can select from multiple Internet Service Providers listed in the Vuma Reach network, to supply internet and other services.

Vumatel has received the necessary wayleave aprovals from the City of Johannesburg to commence work and has engaged with the respective Ward Councillor and community leaders.

Here is what to expect during the construction period:

Step 1: Construction Work

Construction activity starts. Trench work which includes markings and lifting of pavement will take place. There may be some road drills, moiling and road-cuts required. Vuma has guaranteed that it will reinstate these areas to a high standard of quality.

Step 2: Fibre Work
Fibre work starts. The fIbre is then floated between manholes and access boxes. This fibre is enclosed in a weather-resistant casing to withstand the elements. Splicing work and testing will take place after civil work.

Step 3: Reinstatement

Ready for in-home installation. Once the fibre work has been tested and quality-checked, you will be ready for your installation. You can place an order with the ISP of your choice.

Vuma wishes to apologise for the inconvenience caused during this period and every effort will be made to minimise disruption.
