FILA x DRIP DROP 3 LAUNCHED IN IVORY PARK

It was dripping rain and Drip on Friday, 11 November 2022. The occasion was the launch of three (3) more colourways of the FILA and Drip collaboration taking the total to six (6).

The location the event was held at was Ivory Park Ext 2 at Small Imbizo Shisanyama (opposite Eskom). The Shisanyama is a walking distance from where Drip Owner and Chairman, Lekau Sehoana grew up.

Sehoana told KAE News that he has very fond memories of growing up in Ivory Park.

“No one can die of hunger in the township. You
live around people who can help you when you’re facing difficulties like your neighbours. You also get support in the township,” Sehoana said.

“One of the reasons that I decided to come
back to my hood was also to say thank you. I chose this specific location because I have a good relationship with Ma Zwane (Rita Zwane,
Imbizo Shisanyama owner) and she inspires me. She started from zero to having
four (4) shops now.”

Representing global brand, FILA was the FILA Product Manager, Lara Slotsky.

The community is proud of the Ivory Park native. This was evident by both young and old in attendance.

Keeping guests entertained was Drip Creative Director, Moozlie and Tembisa comedian, Skhumba as MCs. Loadshedding tried but couldn’t stop the festivities . Guests also enjoyed performances from Robot Boii, Kamo Mphela, Siya & Hectic and Ivory Park DJ and Producer Jeffy Pac. Hitmaker Lady Du was a surprise guest.

The event was free with guests also being served with food and beverages. Models showcased the FILA and Drip collaboration.
