ILLEGAL LAND INVASION OPERATION IN MIDRAND

An illegal land invasion operation was conducted in the early hours of Saturday, 31 December 2022. The operation was conducted by members of Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD), Midrand South African Police Services (SAPS) and private security firm Matla a Morwa Security.

The illegal land invasion operation was conducted at Allandale Rd and K101, Midrand near the Dischem warehouse. It is believed that the land invaders which were mostly Basotho Nationals are in the country illegally and had been occupying the land illegally for more than a month.

JMPD says that IIllegal Land Invasion remains a serious scourge in the City of Johannesburg where people illegally occupy pieces of land without approval from the legal owners.
