Residents of several neighborhoods in the KAE area, including Klipfontein , are still without water following a recent vandalism incident that caused damage to a meter supplying water to the area.

According to Rand Water, the bulk supplier to Johannesburg Water, the vandalism incident forced an emergency shutdown, which has severely impacted the water supply to these neighborhoods.

The Rabie Ridge and President Park reservoir and tower are critically low, and it is unclear how long it will take to fully recover the water supply.

Many residents in the affected areas are understandably frustrated and concerned about the ongoing water supply disruptions. Some have reported difficulties in accessing water for basic needs such as cooking, cleaning, and hygiene, while others have expressed frustration at the lack of communication and transparency from Johannesburg Water.

To make matters worse, loadshedding is scheduled for 16:00 until 20:30.
