LOAD REDUCTION TOMORROW MORNING

Eskom will implement load reduction tomorrow, 05 February 2021.

The load reduction will be implemented from 05:00 to 09:00 in the morning in parts of Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, Tswelopele and Lindokuhle.

The load reduction is implemented by the power utility in ‘high density’ areas to avoid overloading of the network.

Residents are advised to switch off electrical appliances during the load reduction to avoid possible damage of appliances and transformer trips and failures due to the power surges when the electricity is restored.

As if the discriminatory load reduction is not enough. Eskom has a tendency of cutting off power in the above areas with no notice
