LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER

President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced, 27 October 2021, as date on which local government elections will take place.

This will be the sixth time that voters will elect leadership and public representatives at metropolitan, district and local level. The Local Government Elections will provide an opportunity for the communities of Ivory Park, Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park and Rabie Ridge to elect Ward Councillors.

“ The President has urged eligible voters-and especially first time voters- to ensure they are registered to participate in the elections which provide the basis for development and service delivery to where citizens live.” said Tyrone Seale, Acting Spokesperson to the President.
