MEET CHRISTIAN HIP HOP ARTIST, KATLEHO

Katleho Mashego is a Christian Hip Hop artist from Allandale. His name means Success in Setswana and judging by his newly released EP, he’s definitely destined for success.

The 6-track EP is titled ‘Then Jesus Came’ and was released today, 6 November 2020. The Project is vulgar free, inspirational and also a follow up to his debut EP titled ‘Unashamed’ which was released late last year.

The scripture-based body of work features the talented worshipper, Dimakatso from Tswelopele and Kaalfontein’s finest Hip Hop artist, Jimmy Landrose, who recently took Mzansi by storm after rapping in 7 official languages.

Katleho has a way of cutting through to the core of his listener’s emotions. With a passion for songwriting running through his veins from an early age, Katleho’s passion for lyrics exposes a truly sensitive artist whose soul-shattering vocals have the power to provoke a profound response. The lyricist kickstarted his musical career in the year 2017.

He says his inspiration is derived from the Bible and his passion to restore hope to the hopeless. Katleho’s influences include Bishop TD Jakes, Dr Tumi and Tyler Perry amongst others.

Katleho attended school in Ingqayizivele Secondary School in Tembisa and is a frequent church goer at the Church on the Hill in President Park, Midrand.
