METRO POLICE SHOT DEAD IN IVORY PARK
An on-duty Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) officer has died after being shot multiple times by unknown gunmen in Ivory Park Ext. 15 on Monday morning.
He was also robbed off his service firearm, it is understood that he was ambushed while driving a municipal council vehicle.
No arrest have been made as yet.
“The EMPD is saddened by the passing of one of our own He was a humble, hard- working individual who was versatile in law enforcement. He understood what service delivery entailed, as he would also assist in tackling and fighting crime off our street,” said department chief Isaac Mapiyeye.
