POLICE OPERATIONS YIELD RESULTS IN TEMBISA
Provincial Commisioner, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela led operation O Kae Molao on Thursday, 03 February 2021, in Tembisa.
Several suspects were arrested and detained for crimes that include dealing in drugs and undocumented persons.
More than five (5) cars were impounded after they were found to have been tempered with and illegal shebeens closed down during the integrated operation.
On Saturday, a joint operation with different law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders held each others hands to work together in the fight against crime led by Colonel Boloka.
A parade was held at Rabie Ridge Sports Ground. Col Boloka welcomed everyone who attended the parade and appreciated the members for their effort to fight crime in the Tembisa South Policing Precinct.
The operation focused on Roadblocks, VCPs,Drugs ,Liquor Compliance, stop and search and crime prevention.
During the high density operation, police and other law enforcement agencies managed to arrest eighteen (18) suspects as follows:
- Eleven (11) for driving under the influence of liquor
- Two (2) for dealing in drugs
- Two (2) for possession of drugs
- Three (3) for selling liquor without licence
- Three(3) J 534 issued
All arrested suspects will appear in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court soon.
