POLICE PAY THEIR LAST RESPECTS TO THE SLAIN TEMBISA COP

A memorial service was held by Ekurhuleni District Police yesterday, 1st September 2021, at Edleen, Kempton Park .

The service was held to honour their colleague Sergeant Nonjabulo Sharon Mogale who was shot and killed by unknown suspects on Thursday the 26th of August 2021 in one of the retail shops at Esangweni Section, Tembisa South.

The SAPS member was described as a soldier by her colleagues and friends. She managed to take away some children off the streets and placed them in NGOs. Mogale also had a passion of working with members of the public.

The memorial service was attended by the Ekurhuleni District Commissioner Major General Anna Sithole, Members from the Prosecuting Authority, Community Policing Forum, Member of Parliament Refiloe Ntsikitle, Gauteng Traffic Deputy Director Mdumisi and Youth Desk from Tembisa South SAPS.

Major General Sithole mentioned that it was a sad moment to mourn “imbokodo” who served Gauteng with pride. She further encouraged the deceased’s family members to keep on praying in order for the suspects to pay for what they did and to read the scripture of John 14 from the Bible which advices people not to let their hearts to be troubled, since God is the only one who heals broken hearts.

Sergeant Nonjabulo Mogale will be laid to rest on Saturday the 4th of September at one of the graveyards in Pretoria.
