RESTRICTION OF VISITATION HOURS AT HOSPITALS

The Gauteng Department of Health has restricted visiting hours at all hospitals in the province to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Effective immediately, visiting hours are limited to one hour per day.

Visitors are restricted to visit patients from 12:00 to 13:00. A patient will only be allowed a maximum of 2 visitors per day. Of the 2 visitors only 1 visitor will be allowed at a time for not more than 15 minutes. There will be no rotation of visit and no visitor will be allowed outside the visiting hours. Visit outside the prescribed time must be authorized by the attending doctor.
