A Government Department That Gets It Right!

RTMC DLTC Waterfall is a driver’s licence testing and issuing centre located at 253 Howick Close, Waterfall Office Park, Bekker Road in Midrand. The centre is open daily and closes at 21:00. I had the pleasure of visiting this centre on a Saturday afternoon, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the services offered and the level of efficiency that I experienced.

I had lost my driver’s licence and needed to apply for a new one. My plan was to go to the Midrand Licensing Department, but unfortunately, it was closed. A quick search online led me to the RMTC DLTC Waterfall, and I decided to give it a try.

As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by friendly security guards who directed me to the registration desk. They were extremely helpful and made sure I knew exactly where to go. I signed the register and proceeded to the registration desk where they gave me forms to fill out. I realised that I need a copy of my ID, eisan! However, the gentleman wearing law enforcement uniform told me not to worry and requested the original…he made copies for me for mahala!

After filling out the forms, I was assisted by a beautiful and friendly member of staff called Dineo who explained the whole process to me with a smile. I was amazed at how quick and efficient the entire process was. It only took a few minutes to complete my application, and before I knew it, I was done.

Usually, you need 2 ID photos to complete the process but at RMTC DLTC they have their own photo booth. NB: The centre doesn’t accept cash.

The RTMC DLTC Waterfall was opened in October 2021 by former Transport Minister, Fikile Mbalula . The centre is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a range of driver’s licence services and card issuing. The centre is equipped with advanced technology and highly trained staff, making the process of obtaining a driver’s licence quick, easy, and hassle-free.

Overall, I would highly recommend RTMC DLTC Waterfall to anyone looking to renew their driver’s licence. The service I received was top-notch, and the staff were super friendly and efficient. The offices are clean and well-maintained, and the whole experience was a pleasure.

In a world where government departments are often criticized for being slow and inefficient, the RTMC DLTC Waterfall is a shining example of how things can be done right. I would rate my experience 5 out of 5, and I will be returning in the future…Ofcourse I will return to collect my Drivers Licence Card lol
