WATER RESTRICTIONS UNDERWAY

Rand Water has started implementing water restrictions in parts of Johannesburg on Thursday. Amongst reservoirs affected are Rem Allandale and President Park Reservoirs which supply the Greater Midrand, President Park, Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Rabie Ridge and Ivory Park areas.

“Residents are urged to use water sparingly as the City is still under Level -1 water restrictions as per Section 44 (3) of the Water Services By-law.” said Johannesburg Water in a statement.

Expected time of restoration is unknown at this time.

Residents are encouraged to always have a bucket full of water for when restrictions are implemented.

A list of water tankers will be published as when dispatched by Johannesburg Water.
