WOMAN STABBED TO DEATH BY EX-LOVER IN MAYIBUYE

Tragedy struck in Mayibuye on Monday morning when a 29-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by her ex-boyfriend. The victim was waiting for a taxi near the park with her two (2) children, a 2-month-old baby and a 7-year-old, to drop them off at a crèche and head to work.

However, her plans were cut short when the 27-year-old male suspect approached and attacked her. As she tried to run for her life,the victim fell to the ground and lost her life, leaving her young baby by her side.

The suspect, who was known to the victim and had a history of domestic incidents, was promptly handed over to police by his family and community. He is now behind bars at Rabie Ridge Police Station and will appear in Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on a murder charge soon.

The suspect and victim were scheduled to appear in court tomorrow regarding previous domestic cases.
