IF ITS NOT ELECTRICITY, ITS WATER

Residents of several neighborhoods in the KAE area, including Kaalfontein, Allandale, Ebony Park, Rabie Ridge, Ivory Park, and Tswelopele, woke up on Saturday morning to find that they had no water. While the cause of the water shortage is not yet clear, it is possible that loadshedding may have played a role.

Eskom, recently announced that it would be implementing stage 6 loadshedding due to a shortage of capacity.

Many water supply systems in the KAE area rely on electricity to operate, and the loss of power could have disrupted the pumping and treatment processes that are necessary to deliver clean, safe water to homes and businesses.

While some water supply systems may have backup generators or other contingency plans in place to maintain service during power outages, these backup systems may not always be reliable or sufficient to meet demand.

At the time of publishing, Johannesburg Water had not yet issued a statement regarding the water shortage in the KAE area. However, residents are advised to conserve water and take appropriate measures to ensure their own safety and well-being during this time.
