MIDRAND LOW WATER SUPPLY

Johannesburg Water says that it is aware of the water outage affecting parts of Midrand including Ebony Park, Ivory Park and Rabie Ridge. This is due some of the entity’s systems having low water supply.

Grand Central reservoir
Critically low due to poor supply and high demand, supplying normal but low pressure may be experienced in high lying areas.

Grand Central tower
The tower is empty due to the low water levels in the reservoir. Pumping in the tower will resume once the reservoir recovers. No water expected in the tower zone.

President Park reservoir and tower
Critically low due to poor supply and high demand. Low pressure to no water is expected in the supply zone. The tower is empty and on bypass. Low pressure to no water is expected in the supply zone.

Alternative water supply will be arranged for the affected customers and will be placed at strategic locations.

There is currently no estimated time for recovery and location of water tankers will be communicated in due time.
