A Grey VW Jetta 6, with Licence Plate JL68LM GP, normally used for ehailing, was hijacked on the 22nd of September and has still not been recovered.

The Bolt Driver received a trip request from Lifestyle Car Wash in Ebony Park until Angelfish Street, near Allandale View around 21:00.

It is alleged that upon arrival at the destination, the 2 passengers of the car pointed a firearm at the Bolt Driver and hijacked the car.

They allegedly tied the victim up with a cable and drove the victim to the bushes in Olifantsfontein where they held him hostage for more than 4 hours. While holding the victim hostage, the Sepedi speaking suspects robbed him of his belongings. Including asking for bank pin, cellphone pin and searching for a tracker.

The suspects eventually abandoned the victim at the bushes in Olifantsfontein and drove off with the vehicle.
