BUSINESS ROBBERY AT AUSTIN VIEW

As alleged by the complainant, on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at around 12:45, he was seated at the reception room when he heard a vehicle hoot at the gate at 81 Poodle Close, Austin View, Midrand.

“The complainant checked the CCTV and noticed a White Hyundai H100 truck at the gate and opened the gate with the remote. The vehicle parked in front of the reception room. The complainant approached the vehicle and saw three (3) unknown African Males in the vehicle. There were more people inside the vehicle. One African Male who was a passenger pointed a firearm at the complainant and demanded the office keys”, said Sergeant Dipolelo Moremi, the spokesperson of Rabie Ridge SAPS.

The suspect pushed the complainant into the reception room and instructed him to lie on the ground whilst he kept watch. The other suspects forced entry into seven offices and took the below property.

  • seven (7) laptops
  • one (1) switchboard for cctv camera
  • one (1) printer
  • one (1) hard drive.
  • All valued at R 140,000.00 into the rear of the Hyundai bakkie and left.

No shots fired and no injuries.
