CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASES IN GAUTENG

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gauteng as at 25 April 2020 sits at 1,304 with 855 recoveries and 8 deaths.

In a statement released today, the Gauteng Department of Health said that “out of a total of 8,015 contacts traced (these are individuals who were in contact with people who tested positive for COVID-19); 3,621 people have completed the 14 day monitoring period with no symptoms reported and therefore they are de-isolated.”

A total number of 65 people are currently hospitalized in private and public health facilities.

City of Johannesburg Region A has 76 confirmed coronavirus cases. An increase of 3 cases from yesterday’s reported cases. Region A includes Ivory Park, Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, Midrand, Diepsloot and Fourways.

Ekurhuleni North has 116 confirmed coronavirus cases. Ekurhuleni includes Thembisa, Kempton Park and Edenvale.
