Phase 2 of the Gauteng Department of Education’s Online Admissions opened today, 13 September 2021 and will end on Friday, 8 October 2021.

Parents or guardians looking to register their children to a public school for the 2022 academic year may do so by visiting

Parents are urged to prepare the following certified documents when applying:

  1. Parent and Child ID/Passport
  2. South African Birth Certificate
  3. Asylum Seeker Permit, if applicable
  4. Permanent Residence permit, if applicable
  5. Study permit, if applicable
  6. Proof of Home Address
  7. Proof of Work address
  8. Latest School Report
  9. Clinic Card

Parents are urged to upload these documents onto the system or submit them at the schools they applied to within 7 days of applying.
