IVORY PARK SWIMMING POOL NEARING COMPLETION

If all goes well. Residents of Ivory Park and neighbouring areas will enjoy the Ivory Park Swimming Pool come summer time.

The Ivory Park swimming pool complex in Region A is nearing completion according to the City of Johannesburg, Region A, Citizen Relationship and Urban Management (CRUM).

Located in Ward 111 on Freedom Drive, the Ivory Park Swimming Pool Complex, once completed, will be equipped with an olympic-style swimming pool (50x33m) and splash pool with a grandstand for spectators, a kiddies pool and changing facilities.

It will make an important facility to the contribution of the wellbeing of residents.

The overall cost for the construction of the Ivory Park Swimming Pool is reportedly R42million and the facility will be handed over to the City’s Community Development Department once completed.

The swimming pool will supplement the various developments that have been taking place in Region A, these include the ongoing Kaalfontein Multipurpose Centre, Ivory Park Public Environment Upgrades and the recently upgraded Kaalfontein Clinic by the Johannesburg Development Agency.
