LOAD REDUCTION FRIDAY MORNING

Eskom will implement load reduction in Kaalfontein, Ebony Park, Ivory Park, Rabie Ridge, Lindokuhle and Tswelopelo on Friday morning, the 18th of September 2020.

The load reduction will be implemented in the morning for 4 hours from 05:00 to 09:00. Residents are reminded to switch off appliances before the load reduction to avoid power surges when the power returns. Failure to do so may lead to transformer trips or failures and damage of household appliances.

Load reduction is implemented by Eskom in high density areas to avoid overloading.

Communities are further encouraged to report meter bypasses, illegal connection and vandalism of the electricity infrastructure by calling 0800 11 27 27.
